About RedMumble
- A small project, built for friends
Why I built it
I miss the early web, when tools were fast, private and focused. I wanted clear voice chat for my own friends, without the bloat of modern social platforms.
With a house, kids and everything that comes with it, I no longer have time for long coding sessions. Modern AI tools let me build RedMumble on Azure in the short windows between family life.
Now it’s open for everyone. No ads, no tracking. I run the servers, you get a private server that just works.
What is Mumble?
A free, open source voice chat app built for low lag and clear audio. Gamers love it, but it works just as well for study groups or hanging out. It isn’t a closed platform, so you decide how your server is run.
